Never one to blend into the background, Roberto Cavalli indulged his wild side for this year’s A/W collection. From the snakeskin top and fur miniskirt to the fishnet tights, Cavalli produced a walking homage to the animal kingdom.
The designer used beautiful patterns and colours to embody big cats and snakes and utilised fur in an original way by creating fur miniskirts, a fur maxi skirt and whole fur jumpers, as well as the traditional fur coats.
The collection laughs in the face of minimalism and radiates a warmth and energy that is refreshing to see on the runway, especially in the times of the recession. But we don’t think the news of that seems to have reached Cavalli yet.
