Aziza Rozi is an artist and designer studying fashion design at Parsons The New School. Rozi gained expertise in fashion construction and fur technique originating from her high school education, at the High School of Fashion Industries. Under the supervision of her mentors in the Fur New York program, she was recommended for an internship for J Mendel Paris Showroom: assisting furriers, pattern makers and the marketing department.
Rozi’s work embodies and mirrors her identity through her experiences and absorbed knowledge. She is currently working on her new collection, diving into her roots and culture from her origin, Uzbekistan.
Rozi aims to start an international conversation on sustainability with fur use through her garments. With her design aesthetic of unisex clothing, Aziza’s work highlights the importance of hand work in luxury designs through her garments and accessories.
Scholarships, awards and experience:
After her 3 semester long continuous education in the Fur New York program, Rozi was awarded 1st place for her fur garment in the International Luxury Outerwear Expo in Chicago. In addition, Rozi’s garments were featured in online publications, including Cake Magazine and Lucy Magazine.
Her artwork was also exhibited and sold at the Undercurrent Gallery in New York City. For her exceptional academic performance and achievements for the past two semesters of college, Rozi was awarded a full scholarship to study abroad in Parsons, Paris.
Rozi has interned for Rick Owens New York headquarters in marketing PR and was referred to intern in Paris in the designer’s studio. With her thrive and ambition for art and design, Rozi indulges all the aspects of artistic creativity and applies this knowledge to her contemporary work.
