How to be part of REMIX

To be in with a chance of being part of the International Fur Design Competition (REMIX) and representing your country alongside designers from across the globe please contact the national fur association in your country.

Most national associations run a fur design competition for fashion students, and once national winners are selected they are put forward for REMIX. Entry requirements may differ slightly for each country but you will need to submit a design sketch or sketches incorporating fur to your national association.

Up to four designers from each country can be part of REMIX.  For 2013 there is a brand new Menswear Category which will run alongside the existing Womenswear Category and the Pimp my Coat Award. Designers can also qualify for the special Origin Assured Award.

After months of preparation and hard work including national design competition, the final runway presentation takes place in Milan in March and features 35 designs received from up and coming fur design talent from the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.


There are two stages of judging for the REMIX, International Fur Design Award. For both rounds the judges are asked to select their preferred designs on the basis of:


• Creativity & imagination

• Technical understanding

• Feasibility of production and

• Saleability


International Fashion journalists and fashion editors from all 35 IFTF members countries review all the entries and make their selection.
