Remix Judges, for the International Fur Federation
Sara Maino is senior fashion editor of “Vogue Italia” and the mind and heart of Vogue Talents, a project born in 2009 in support of emerging designers. Vogue Talents, part of Vogue Italia, sponsors Remix each year to support fashion designers in their use of fur. “Supporting the new generation is the main aim of Vogue Talents and the project with Remix demonstrates how talent can be expressed in its different forms.”
Tamu McPherson started taking street style photographs on 2006 for Glamour.it after abandoning a career in law. After this, Tamu wrote feature pieces specifically for Vogue Pelle and eventually became a contributor at Elle Italia. In 2008, she launched ‘All the Pretty Birds’, before becoming Editor-in-Chief of Grazia.it. McPherson has contributed to publications including Glamour U.S., Harper’s Bazaar U.S., Metro and Refinery 29.
Leah Perez is the head of the fashion programme at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, the pre-eminent fashion college in Israel. Perez has a B.A. in History of Art and history of the Western World from the Haifa University and M.A. in history of Art from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
In addition, she was a lecturer at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design and Head of the Fashion Design Department at SHENKAR from 1994-2003. Between 2003-2006, Perez served as cultural attache’ of the Israeli Embassy in Bogota, Colombia and as a lecturer at El Rosario University in Bogota.
Lory Yedid has been working for more than 15 years in the Executive Search field; since 2005 she has been Partner of Value Search in the Fashion Retail and Luxury Goods practice.
Her previous professional experience developed in the Fashion business, collaborating with several Creative Directors, such as Gianni Versace, Christian Lacroix, Alberta Ferretti and Narciso Rodriguez.
Veronica Etro was born in Milan and attended the Deutsche Schule of Milan, where she graduated from both the German ‘Abitur’ and the Italian high school programmes. She then attended Central St. Martins College College of Art and Design in London, graduating with her degree in 1997. Veronica gained experience with other designers before joining her family company ‘ETRO’, which she entered in 1998 to work alongside her brother Kean as the creative directors of the Womenswear collection. She unveiled her first collection in 2000 to immediate acclaim.
